Hyderabad: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport will introduce express security check-in on Friday for domestic passengers who will be carrying only hand baggage.
Director General, Central Industrial Security Force, O.P. Singh and GMR chief executive officer S.G.K. Kishore will launch the new system.
Sources from the CISF said that there would be exclusive entries from the security hold areas for this category of passengers.
“Passengers having only hand baggage can go through the express check to save time and avoid long queues. These passengers can get a boarding pass at the express check area. This facility is first of its kind in Indian airports for domestic flyers,” a source said.
