Govt should let me hang culprits with my own hands: UP rape survivor
Lucknow: They were brutally gangraped by dacoits just 100 metres away from a police post near the highway in Bulandshahr and now they have lost their faith in the administration. The 35-year-old rape survivor who was raped along with her 14-year-old daughter last Friday, told the media that she wants to punish the culprits with her own hands.
“All I want is justice. I want to punish the attackers with my own hands. I don’t trust politicians. They are promising many things, but they don’t have any accountability. I want them to safeguard the future of my child,” the mother said.
“The police are at fault too, as is the government. The culprits should be hanged and the government should allow me to hang them with my own hands,” she added.

Her daughter, who has shied away from speaking to the media had aspired to become an IAS officer but now the family is not even sure if they will be able to live a normal life again.
Even as politicians from various parties made a beeline to visit them at their home and give them assurances of justice, the survivor’s family has little trust in what they perceive as mere lip service.
The dacoits had brutally raped the woman and her daughter at gunpoint after dragging them out of a car in Bulandshahr on NH-91 when they were travelling with their family from Noida to Shahjahanpur.
Uttar Pradesh Police had on Sunday arrested – Naresh (25), Bablu (22) and Rais (28) -- and detained a dozen others after launching a massive hunt for the dacoits suspected to be behind the crime.
