Thiruvananthapuram: The Cabinet on Wednesday decided to create 1,000 new posts - 400 assistant surgeons, 400 staff nurses grade 2 and 200 lab technicians grade 2- at select family health centres under the State Government’s Ardram health mission.
The new Port director will be Mr Sanjay M. Kaul, who is back from a training programme. He will have the additional charge of Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation.
Mr V R Prem Kumar is the new Social Welfare director.
The tenure of the State standing counsel in the Supreme Court, Mr G Prakashan, has been extended by another three years.
