Telangana school students set MBBS mark
The government had started a special training programme for students, Operation Blue Crystal, in June, 2015.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday congratulated the 84 students of government-run SC/ST residential schools who secured ranks in the Neet and qualified for admission into MBBS and BDS courses.
According to a statement, 55 SC students and 9 ST students had qualified for MBBS admissions and 15 SC and five ST students made it to the BDS. This is the highest number of students from these schools qualifying for MBBS and BDS admissions.
The government had started a special training programme for students, Operation Blue Crystal, in June, 2015. So far, 140 students from this programme have been admitted into MBBS.
Besides Neet, 12 students from these schools had got admission into Delhi University and six into the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. TS Social Welfare Schools Society secretary Dr R.S. Praveen Kumar expressed happiness over the results.
Mr Chandrasekhar Rao said the government was spending huge funds and starting hundreds of residential schools to offer corporate level quality education to poor students.
These results would inspire the government to start more such institutions, the CM said. He congratulated Dr Kumar for training the students.
