Warangal town gets 6 cm rain

In Hyderabad, the skies continued to be generally cloudy and light rainfall was experienced in some parts of the city.

Hyderabad: The state experienced light rainfall in many areas on Sunday. While the maximum rainfall of six cm was reported from Mogullapalle in Warangal district, moderate rainfall was witnessed at isolated areas in Warangal and Karimnagar districts. In Hyderabad, the skies continued to be generally cloudy and light rainfall was experienced in some parts of the city.

Maximum temperature reco-rded on Sunday was 29.9 degree Celsius. An IMD official said, “The skies continue to be cloudy and temperatures continue to be low. There are no thunder cloud formations. There are only lower and middle level clouds, which cause light rainfall.” According to AccuWeather, Hyderabad will experience a thunderstorm and around two hours of light rainfall on Monday.

Godavari rises 10 ft in one day
The water level in the Godavari river is rising at Bhadrachalam due to heavy rain in the areas upstream of its tributaries, Indravathi and Pranahitha. The water level in the Godavari which was 18 feet on Saturday evening rose to 28 feet by Sunday morning.

The authorities sounded an alert that the first warning level of 43 feet was approaching. There was a slight increase in the water level at the Sriram Sagar Project due to rains upstream. The project has been receiving 987 cuses since Saturday. While the full reservior level of the project is 1,091 feet, the water stood at 1047.9 feet on Sunday.
