Hyderabad: Police arrests hoax bomb threat caller

Hyderabad: A 31-year-old man from Karnataka who made a hoax call about a bomb at Sai Ram theatre in Malkajgiri was arrested on Monday. Police found that the man was dejected at being denied entry into a film theatre for being drunk and made a phone call about seeing a bomb in the theatre.

The call was received at 9.15 pm on May 25 on Dial 100. A team of police along with the dog squad and bomb disposal team rushed only to confirm that no bomb was found.

 

Following the incident, the number was traced and the caller was identified as S. Pathan, who haied from Gadlegav B. village in Bidar district of Karnataka.

On Monday, he was apprehended taken into custody for questioning.
