Hyderabad: Overflowing drains, damaged roads and water stagnation points have become a common sight for residents living in Marredpally and Yapral.

Mr Attela Venkat, a resident of Nehrunagar, West Marredpally, said, “We are living in Kachra Bharath. Unbearable stench and overflowing drains have made life difficult. Children from the area have been playing in these unhygienic conditions and during monsoon they will not have a proper play area.”
He said that to make matters worse even sanitation staff had been irregular and were sweeping the bylanes only once a fortnight.

Mr Venkat added that though several complaints had been lodged, the civic authorities were yet to the resolve the issues.
