Hyderabad: A girl accused her lover of one year of cheating her and refusing to marry her.
According to Raghuveer Reddy, inspector of Ghatkesar police station who offered the first round of counselling to the couple after their disagreement, told that Yogesh, 20, and Neelamma, 20, were in love for the past one year.
Both are B.Tech graduates who work together and planned to get married. However, after the couple approached Yogesh’s parents in Warangal, they refused to accept the proposal. Soon after, even Yogesh refused to marry her, following which the girl sought the police’s help.
“Since the area falls under Medipally jurisdiction, the couple approached Medipally police for a second round of counselling,” said the official.
B. Anji Reddy, inspector of Medipally police station confirmed the dispute and said that the couple is currently being counselled.
