Hyderabad: The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorms and gusty winds warning in all districts of Telangana, including Hyderabad, on Sunday.
This could bring respite from the high temperatures the city has been experiencing, which hit as high as 40 degrees Celsius. Pre-monsoon showers were disappointing with the city getting only 0.1 mm of rain, as opposed to the normal 6.2 mm of rain, in the last three days. “We expect the monsoon to arrive in the city in 5-6 days,” Y.K. Reddy, Director of IMD Telangana, said.
Highest temperature this summer was recorded in Ramagundam at 44 degree Celsius.
