Chief secretary promised the employees that he would start a help desk in his office and the employees can inform it of their grievances.

Hyderabad: The shifting of Secretariat employees will be done only after completion of temporary secretariat buildings at Velagapudi in the Amaravati region.

AP chief secretary S.P. Tucker stated this to a group of Secretariat employees who met him on Friday. He said the HoDs will be shifted to capital region by June 27 and the Secretariat employees will be shifted once the construction of the temporary secretariat is completed. The employees want the shifting of the Secretariat to be postponed by a year.

The chief secretary promised the employees that he would start a help desk in his office and the employees can inform it of their grievances.

The group of secretariat employees met in the secretariat under the leadership of AP gazetted employees association chairman K.V. Krishnaiah and AP secretariat employees housing society former president K. Venkatarami Reddy and discussed about the issues relating to the shifting. Later, they met chief secretary Mr Tucker and submitted a memorandum seeking a road map on shifting. They also demanded that the shifting of the Secretariat be postponed by one year.

Reacting to this, the chief secretary told them that, by June 27, only HoDs will be shifted and not the secretariat employees. Secretariat employees will be shifted only after completion of the temporary secretariat buildings at Velagapudi.
