Please find him, Madhan kin cry, appeal to Jayalalithaa

The family has also lodged a complaint with Varasani Police after a letter purportedly written by Madhan had emerged.

Chennai: Kin of Vendhar Movies founder Madhan appealed to the Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa to intervene and help trace movie producer and distributor who has been missing since May 28.

Madhan's parents Balakrishnan and Thangam and his wife Sumalatha had reportedly submitted a petition in this regard to the CM Cell, besides filing a habeas corpus petition before the Madras High Court.

"Madhan could not have done any wrong. He is a kind hearted fellow, and always used to help people in need", said Thangam. Wiping her tears, she said the students from the SRM group of institutions will stand testimony to the goodwill of her son.

On the complaints cropping up against Madhan on collecting money for admissions, she maintained that there were no such allegations until last academic year. "On the contrary, my son used to provide monetary assistance to struggling students", she retorted.

“Madhan had high regard for Parivendhar aka T.R. Pachamuthu (founder, SRM Group of Institutions). I tried to meet Parivendhar following the onset of the current issue. However, I could not meet him. I last spoke to Madhan on Saturday and he told me that he was in Kasi and that he was on his way home", she said.

The family has also lodged a complaint with Varasani Police after a letter purportedly written by Madhan had emerged. The family members also petitioned the city police to find Madhan.

As many as 18 complaints were received against the 'missing' Madhan by the city police and the complainants are being examined. No case had been registered against either Madhan or SRM group of institutions.
