Mathura: Jawahar Bagh Sangharsh Samiti will felicitate two police officials posthumously, who lost their lives in the violence in Mathura, and two senior district officials for their actions during the clashes between police and encroachers in this temple city.
"While SP city Mukul Dwivedi would be felicitated posthumously with title 'Yoddha', SHO Santosh Yadav would also be posthumously felicitated with title 'Parakrami'. District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar and SSP Rakesh Singh would also be felicitated for their bold actions," leader of Jawahar Bagh Sangharsh Samiti Kunvar Narendra Singh said.

The Samiti claimed that it had tried to enter Jawahar Bagh for evicting encroachers on three occasions in the past three months but were prevented from doing so by the district administration to avoid violence.

Singh said despite the huge number of arms possessed by the encroachers, they were evicted from the government land due to the offensive adopted by authorities after the death of two police officers.
