Kamareddy: Cop shoots himself with service rifle
Goud had worked in the Greyhounds and was posted a few months ago at the Kamareddy armed reserve headquarters.
Kamareddy: Armed Reserve police constable Srinivas Goud allegedly shot himself at the district treasury office on Friday in an apparent suicide bid. While on sentry duty, Goud apparently shot himself with his .303 service rifle.
Goud, 40, is a native of Warangal district. He had worked in the Greyhounds and was posted a few months ago at the Kamareddy armed reserve headquarters.
His family comprising his wife and his two daughters stay at Kamareddy. Goud said he had taken the extreme step due to family issues. The victim was taken to the Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad on Friday night.
