Hyderabad: Five held for murder of techie
Hyderabad: In order to avenge his humiliation, a web-designer from the city and his four friends killed a 28-year-old techie at a liquor party. The Malkajgiri police arrested the accused two days after the murder and produced them before the court on Friday.
On May 1, Joshua Rohit Samuel, 28, a resident of Tarnaka, was found dead in an isolated area near Moula Ali railway station. Joshua was about to start working at Genpact as a process associate.
Following a complaint from Joshua’s mother Nazreena Rao, the Malkajgiri police registered a case of murder for the probe and held five persons including a juvenile boy, who confessed to having killed Joshua.
The accused persons have been identified as Casper Tej Emandi, 34, a web designer from East Marredpally; Mohammed Islam, 19, a graduate student, and P. Babu, 22, a marketing executive, both residents of Padma Rao Nagar; Mohammed Irfan, 20, an intermediate student from Chilakalguda, and a juvenile boy.
Police said that about eight months ago, Casper insulted one of Joshua’s friends. Joshua slapped Casper. Hence Casper roped in his friends to join him in killing Joshua.
