Bengaluru: The body of a newly born baby boy was found abandoned near Muneshwara temple in Malleswaram police station limits on Wednesday morning. After being informed, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem. According to police, they received information about the abandoned baby at around 9 am. The baby was wrapped in a cloth and was dead. Police said that the baby must be a day or two old and suspect it to be a result of an illicit affair. "We suspect that someone from the Srirampura slum has abandoned the baby.
It may be a result of an illicit affair and there is also suspicion that the baby's mother has secretly given birth and abandoned it," the police said.
