New Delhi: Their past differences notwithstanding, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and yoga guru Baba Ramdev displayed unusual bonhomie during the latter’s visit to Yadav in Delhi on Wednesday.
While the spiritual leader smeared cream on the former Bihar chief minister’s forehead and gifted him a whole range of Patanjali products, Lalu heaped praises on the spiritual leader.
“People are jealous of Baba Ramdev because he is highly successful... he has earned everything through sheer hard work,” Yadav said, defending Ramdev on the allegations of accumulating illegal wealth.
It was all conspiracy by his rivals to defame him and his products, Yadav said, and added that Ramdev donated his huge turnovers to charity.
Asked by reporters if he would endorse Patanjali products, Yadav said, "I am a permanent brand ambassador of his products.”

Baba Ramdev and Lalu Prasad Yadav have been vocal about their political differences in the past, with the yoga guru calling Yadav as descendant of mythological villain ‘Kansa’ and not that of the Hindu God Krishna.
