Judicial officials allotted to Telangana, Andhra Pradesh

52:48 ratio adopted

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court has completed the provisional allocation of subordinate judicial officers among Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states as per their population ratio of 52:48 as per provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act 2014.

The High Court Registry, after inviting options from judicial officers, allotted 335 district judges, senior civil judges and junior civil judges, besides 28 retired judicial officers to TS. AP was allotted 492 judicial officers in the rank of district judges, senior civil judges and junior civil judges besides 34 retired judicial officers.

The Registry, after publishing provisional allotments, invited objections, if any. Judicial officers were asked to submit their objections in a sealed cover to the district judges concerned by May 13 and the district judges were directed to forward the objections by May 18.

According to the notification, officers who do not submit their options will be allocated to the states based on their domicile status available in their service records.
