Hyderabad: In a protest against the delay in posting, 247 teachers, who were selected for the posts in Residential Education Institutions Societies, approached the human rights commission for collective suicide.
Having quit their jobs nine months ago, the teachers, who carried out the protest in front of the education department office, stated that they were forced to approach the human right commission as they are now without proper income.
The teachers, who are in a fix over whether the next academic year will also continue in the same fashion, also claimed that the situation has added to their stress.
Meanwhile, the state government is appealing against the High Court order which has stated that the teachers must be appointed.
