Telangana, Andhra Pradesh private engineering colleges score top ranks

Hyderabad: Among all the ranks in the National Institutional Rankings Framework, nearly 10 private engineering colleges from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh scored between 100 to 200 ranks.

Out of the top 100 ranks, there are no private engineering colleges from Telangana but the TS State private engineering colleges such as CBIT, VNR and CVR engineering colleges have bagged ranks in the top 100 to 150 rank band.

Marri Rajshekhar Reddy, Secretary of Marri Laxman Reddy Institute of Technology (MLR) said: ‘’Between 150 to 200 rank band, we have six colleges from Telangana state including MLR, Malla Reddy Women’s, Gokaraju Gangaraju, Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology and Vasavi Engineering College. We are very happy as we are consistently securing ranks in the rank band -150 to 200’’.

Chandra Shekhar Reddy, Nodal Officer of NIRF, for MLR college said: ‘’From the last two years, we are continuously getting the same rank from Telangana.”
