IIM Kozhikode grad bags Rs 52 lakh offer
KOZHIKODE: Students of IIM Kozhikode have completed the final placements of the year with an average salary of Rs 17.76 lakh per annum, with a highest international salary of Rs 52 lakh per annum, the institution said in a press release on Tuesday. Among the 382 students in the graduating batch 367 secured 384 offers from major recruiters including Arthur D. Little, BCG (Boston Consulting Group), Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, McKinsey and PwC (career service agency). Eleven students opted to sign out of the placements process while four students remained unplaced.
The campus witnessed 178 companies participate in the placements process, a whopping 58 per cent increase from the 2017 placements season. More than 75 first time recruiters including Arthur D. Little, Avendus Capital, Axis Securities, Bharat Forge, Britannia, Casio, Crompton Greaves, GMR Group, Reckitt Benckiser, RBL Bank and Standard Chartered-IGP participated in the placement process.
The season witnessed an increase in the number of finance roles on offer with major companies such as American Express, Axis Bank, Bank of America, Citibank, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, JP Morgan Chase, Standard Chartered making offers to 16% of the candidates. Sales and Marketing roles in the campus continued to flourish with major brands such as 3M, Asian Paints, Bharat Petroleum, Godrej, GSK, HUL, Indian Oil, ITC, Kohler, Pidilite, and Vodafone participating and offering roles to 25% of the total pool of talent from the campus. “The Placements team continues to offer support to the four unplaced students to find roles that suit their aspirations”, the release said.
