Abhitash is all the rage

Vinoth Ramesh, a city youngster feels that it is quite inspiring given what the Wing Commander has been through.

India can't seem to get enough of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman's act of bravery so much so people are now gushing over his unique gunslinger moustache with mutton chop beard style, which is trending massively on the social media platforms ever since he returned.

Earlier Abhinandan's calm and composed demeanour during the interrogation with the Pakistan army was already winning hearts all over but ever since his return; his well-kept moustache is the next big thing. Young men across the country are ready to sport the style as a tribute to the commander. Saloons too have caught up with the trend and have advertised the same and according to the ANI reports, some in Bengaluru and Punjab are offering special discounted rates as well as an honour to the wing commander's courageous feat.

The dairy brand Amul, as always, comes up with a catchy advertisement as a tribute to Abhinanadan with a caption "#Amul Mooch: To Abhinandan from Amul!"

The air warrior's moustache even goes a step further on what Rajinikanth sported in Petta and Suriya in Singham and the youngsters seem to have also moved on from Virat Kohli's beard.

Vinoth Ramesh, a city youngster feels that it is quite inspiring given what the Wing Commander has been through. "Abhinandan and his moustache have become synonymous with bravery. There are people who are naming their children after him and others are changing their looks to be like him. Either ways, everyone is immensely inspired," he says.

Dev Rajaram, a young graduate can't wait to grow a similar style mooch. "I will also make an Abhinandan moustache soon. He commanded so much respect and was treated with dignity that I have become fully inspired," he quips.

Marcus Lobo, an IT professional from the city is overwhelmed by his mother's reaction to the trending fashion. "My mother used to shout at me if I grew my moustache, now she wants me to have the Abhinandan moustache. Next thing she will ask me to go try out for the Air Force," he says.

Abhinandan Varthaman, returned to India on Friday night, two days after he was captured by Pakistan when his MiG-21 crashed there. So, to all the gentlemen out there, don't be flabbergasted if your barber suggests you an Abhinandan cut!
