Man kills pal over loan money in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A 35-year-old man was murdered allegedly by his friend in SR Nagar. Police suspect that a financial issue might have led to the murder.
According to the police, the deceased Venkat Rajan had a transport business and lived in Indira Nagar.
He would bring his vehicles for repairs to P. Krishna, a mechanic from Rahmathnagar, and they developed good relations.
"Recently, Krishna arranged Rs 1.4 lakh loan for Rajan, who did not repay it in time. Krishna started asking him for the money as he had given a commitment to return it. They argued over it a couple of times over the last few days," said SR Nagar police inspector Mohd Waheeduddin.
On Friday, Rajan came to Krishna's workshop where both had a heated argument.
Krishna got furious and in a fit of rage grabbed a screwdriver and stabbed Rajan multiple times. He died on the spot, police said. A murder case was booked and a probe was launched.
