Tambaram IAF station seeks land for runway expansion from Tamil Nadu government

Chennai: The IAF has sought 54 acres land from the Tamil Nadu government to expand its runway at the Tambaram Air Force station. “We can take up the expansion of the runway, which had remained operational during the December 2015 deluge, when the city was affected,” Air Chief Marshal B. S. Dhanoa said and recalled IAF’s operation in helping the marooned people during the 2015 deluge.
