VM Sudheeran removes Kollam DCC president
KOLLAM: KPCC President V.M. Sudheeran has intervened to replace Kollam DCC president for bad performance in the recent local body elections. Kodikunnil Suresh MP has been given the charge of DCC president while the current President V. Sathyaseelan has been "asked" to go on leave, citing "health issues".
Meanwhile, managing the allies including IUML and RSP in seat sharing has turned out to be the greatest headache for the party in the district. The KPCC president had announced the other day that he had received communication from AICC general secretary Mukul Wasnik, who is in charge of Kerala, that Mr Suresh would be in charge until the Assembly polls.
His name, according to sources, was recommended to the high command by the KPCC in consultation with A.K. Antony. Ahead of the Assembly elections, the DCC members also expect a better performance from the DCC president to win back lost grounds.
