Top tech in Missiles: DRDO chief

He said the success of the satellite missions had led India to create its own navigation system with five satellites.

Hyderabad: India’s missile programme is positioned to take up the leadership position in certain technological aspects, Dr G. Satheesh Reddy, scientific adviser to the defence minister, said here on Thursday. Dr Reddy, who is also head of the DRDO, was giving a presentation on missile technologies during the National Science Day Lecture held at the National Geophysical Research Institute, Uppal.

Using video clippings to support his points, he spoke at length about missiles such as the Agni, Prithvi, BrahMos, Astra, Nag, Shaurya and the Trishul. He said the success of the satellite missions had led India to create its own navigation system with five satellites.
