Open spaces of buildings to be taken over for construction.

Hyderabad: The front portion of the Mebaz building at Begumpet and a few square feet of the White House building will be acquired to build Metro Rail pillars, said N.V.S. Reddy, managing director of Hyderabad Metro Rail.
This follows a survey carried out in Begumpet, Ameerpet, Yousufguda and Jubilee Hills on Thursday. While the construction of Metro Rail pillars and viaduct has been completed near the Kanakadurga temple on the Greenlands-Ameerpet stretch, about 25 sq ft to 30 sq ft belonging to a properties to the left of the project are to be acquired for free flow of traffic.

A 30-sq ft open area is to be acquired at Madhapur and Yousufguda for the Metro Rail. Property owners at Jubilee Hills Check post, Peddamma temple, Madhapur and Durgam Cheruvu will be approached by HMR officials to provide space to create entry and exit facilities for Metro stations.

A senior officer said, “The acquisition of these properties is being done after the major construction works are over. The entry and exit points were a part of the planning.”With construction going on in full swing at Yousufguda and Ameerpet, the road condition on the Yousufguda-Madhuranagar stretch has deteriorated. The ongoing work as damaged water pipes and sewer lines. Apart from this, Yousufguda, Ameerpet and Madhuranagar are strewn with debris which is causing a lot of dust pollution.
