High Court split soon, says DV Sadananda Gowda
Hyderabad: Union law minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda on Thursday reiterated the assurance given by the Centre on setting up of a separate High Court for AP state, saying that it would be set up in Amaravati capital region soon. Anakapalli TD MP Avanthi Srinivas sought clarification from Mr Gowda by raising a supplementary question during Question Hour in the Lok Sabha on setting up of the separate High Court as incorporated in the AP Bifurcation Act.
Mr Gowda said that the Centre was taking steps on setting up separate High Court and the process was on. Not satisfied with the reply, Mr Srinivas asked him to specify the time by which AP High Court would be established. He said similar assurances had been given in the past and nothing has been moved forward since then. He said that the people of AP were put to hardship in reaching Hyderabad from remote places of the state.
