Pakistan can't separate Kashmir from India, it's ours: Rajnath Singh

Rajnath said Pakistan was always trying to divide India or trying to create havoc in our country.

Agartala: Home Minister Rajnath Singh said on Saturday that Pakistan did not have the strength to separate Kashmir from India.

"Our neighbour is Pakistan. They are always trying to divide India or trying to create havoc in our country. They say that they will separate Kashmir from India. But they do not have the strength to separate Kashmir from us," said Rajnath Singh during a public rally in Agartala.

He further said Kashmir was India's and would remain theirs.

"Kashmir hamara tha, hamara hai, aur hamara hi rahega," he said.

Speaking on the upcoming assembly polls, Singh said if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came to the power, everyone would be safe here.

"I would like to assure you that if you form BJP government here then not only BJP's people or common men but members of Communist Party of India (Marxist) and other parties will remain safe too," said Home Minister Singh.

Polling in Tripura will take place on February 18 and in Meghalaya and Nagaland on February 27. The results of all the three northeastern states will be declared on March 3.All the three states have 60 seats each.

The last day for withdrawal of nomination in the upcoming Tripura Assembly elections is on Saturday.

As per the reports, five candidates withdrew their nominations on Friday. They include Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate from Rajnagar and four independent candidates for Bagma, Sabroom, Korbook and Pabiacherra constituencies.
