N Chandrababu Naidu says no'to High Court in Seema

Chief Minister told RHCSS that it was not possible to accede to their demand.

KURNOOL: Rayalaseema High Court Sadhana Samithi (RHCSS) which was spearheading the demand for setting up of High Court at Kurnool was in for a rude shock when Chief Minister told them that it was not possible to accede to their demand. Instead he said he may consider the feasibility of setting up of a High Court bench in Rayalaseema.

Frustrated with the obstinate reply of Chief Minster, the RHCSS has convened for a General Body meeting on Sunday at Anantapur where all the office bearers were expected to attend and take a decision to continue the boy cott of courts or disband their moment and carry on their business as usual.

RHCSS co-convener and Kurnool Bar Association President V. Nagalakshmi said that a section of the advocates were advocating continuance of boycott. The agitation which has entered 16th day has spread all across the Rayalaseema and about 20 bar associations were observing relay hunger strike for the High Court. Meanwhile, the delegation which went to meet CM on Friday night was in for a rude shock as the Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishna Murthy who assured them of all support in fixing the meeting with CM was not available after the cabinet meeting. Neither Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya could attend to the problems of advocates.
