Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams staff upset with circular for cut in bonus
TTD employees associations are up in arms against the government for the reduction.
Nellore: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams employees are upset over a recent circular by the state government ordering the TTD authorities to reduce the perks given to them every year for their service during annual Brahmotsvams.
TTD during its board meeting, decided to give Rs 12,200 for permanent employees and Rs 6,100 to contract employees as Brahmotsava Bahumanam (bonus).
However, Principal Secretary of Endowments J.S.V. Prasad sent a circular to the TTD Executive Officer to pay only Rs 10,000 to permanent employees and Rs 5,000 to contract staff, according to sources in TTD.
