Blood donation camp held

Students and Teachers donated 310 units of blood to the Indian Red Cross society says Principal prof. K. Guru Raj.

WARANGAL: The Student Activity Centre (SAC) and the NSS unit of the Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Sciences, organised a blood donation camp in the auditorium of the college on Wednesday. KITS director Dr Y. Manohar inaugurated the camp and asked students to go forward with the slogan â “Donate blood, save lives.”

“Our students have been giving more importance to social service. We are holding this camp in memory of Swamy Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Param-hamsa,” he said. Principal prof. K. Guru Raj said that students and teachers donated 310 units of blood to the Indian Red Cross society. Student affairs Dean Prof. K. Sridhar, NSS coordinators V. Chandras-haker Rao and Y. Bhavani, Dr K.G.K. Murthy, medical assistant Nelakantam, Loin Purushotham, Dr Ramak-ishan, student coordinators, Shivaram, Vasista, Bargava, Prathima and Roop Bharath took part.
