CM credits Rs 1,036 Cr to benefit 50.58 Lakh farmers under YSR Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan

Though the farmers were assured of Rs 12,500 per year during the last elections, the YSRC government enhanced the amount by Rs 1,000

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy released the third tranche of YSR Rythu Bharosa-PM Kisan scheme by crediting Rs 1,036 crore into the bank accounts of 50.58 lakh farmers for the third consecutive year, from his camp office here on Monday.

The government has been crediting the amount in three instalments to the suit the farmers’ needs. Accordingly, Rs 7,500 is deposited in May for the kharif crop, Rs 4,000 in October for the rabi crop and Rs 2,000 is deposited in January during Sankranti. The total comes to Rs 13,500 per annum.

Though the farmers were assured of Rs 12,500 per year during the last elections, the YSRC government enhanced the amount by Rs 1,000.

Minister for agriculture Kurasala Kannababu and other top officials were present at the event.
