Jagan Mohan Reddy claims Chandrababu Naidu took credit for YSR projects
Nellore: YSRC President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has ridiculed AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for taking credit for projects in Pulivendula during the latter’s visit to the town on Wednesday. He said that the Congress government, under Y.S.R.’s rule, had spent Rs 763 crore for Pagidala project, but, Naidu is trying to impress people by spending a mere Rs 23 crore. Similarly, Dr Y.S.R. allotted Rs 312 crore to Chitravathi project but Naidu is again trying to steal the show by spending only Rs 20 crore.
Mr Reddy has targeted Chandrababu Naidu during his Padayatra in Kalikiri and Valmikipuram areas of Chittoor. He alleged that the CM was behind the closure of Chittoor dairy so that Heritage could remain open. He promised Rs 4 as subsidy for every litre of milk and appealed the people to teach a lesson to Mr Naidu in the elections. Accusing AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for ignoring various promises he made, Jagan Mohan Reddy has alleged that the banks are auctioning the gold pledged by the farmers and women members of self-help groups because of their failure to clear loans.
Though he is touring in his native region former Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Jagan did not utter a word about him or his kin, though the latter’s brother joined the TDP recently. In his public meetings at Kalikiri and Valmikipuram, he pointed out the benefits of special category status such as wavier of various taxes including GST to industries to set up their units in AP.
