Hyderabad: The Chilkalguda police arrested two students on Wednesday for setting on fire an RTC bus which was parked in a private property on December 20 after the arrest of MRPS leader Manda Krishna Madiga. Those arrested were identified as Govinda Naresh, 29, a PhD student at Osmania college, and Bejjanki Anil, 29, an LLB final year student of MSSL college.

A complaint was received on December 21 from Akantha Krishna, 57, an RTC bus driver that after completion of duty, he parked the vehicle on the road opposite to Jamia Osmania railway station for change over and went to have a cup of tea. Meanwhile, the duo wearing college bags boarded the stationed bus and got down within few minutes after setting ablaze the seats on bus by pouring kerosene. They then fled the scene, police said.
