Congress leader Revanth Reddy says K Chandrasekhar Rao should apologise
Hyderabad: Caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao should apologise for the politically targeted and illegally conducted police raids at homes of Congress leaders and related developments taking place in Kodangal ahead of his campaign on Dec. 4, said Congress leader A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday.
Police teams searched the houses of Mr Reddy’s followers and Congress leaders late in the night without any search warrant or legal procedure, following which he staged a dharna.
Addressing mediaperson's on Sunday, Mr Reddy alleged that KCR is depriving Kodangal of the required development. He said, “Without the support from the people of Kodangal in 2009, KCR would not have a political life, but he has never visited the place since then. The assured water as per GO 69 which I fought for irrigation in Narayanpet and Kodangal has been deeply buried by the TRS government. This was continuation of Bhima project which would have secured huge funds from the Centre.”
He noted that Kodangal has several victims of fluorsis, but the TRS government laid Mission Bagiratha pipes but did not give water. The Vikarabad Krishna railway line has been sanctioned for '750 crore of which the state was supposed to release '375 crore funds which was not done.
