Hyderabad: The large number of commuters flocking Metro Rail stations are finding that there are few toilets.

The biggest station, Ameerpet, has one functional toilet. Consequently, passengers have to queue up to use the toilet.

The washroom at Gates A and D are working, but the one for commuters entering through Gates B and C is locked. A person entering from Gate B and wanting to use a toilet has to exit the station and enter again through the other gate.

A commuter, Mr R. Srinivas, said, “The toilet is next to the ticket counter but it is closed. It would be difficult for people who exit through this gate.”

A janitor at the station said, “This is the only facility open now, but the other side will be opening in two or three days.”

Not all stations have toilets. Miyapur station has one operational toilet.
