Bengaluru: Five juveniles escaped from a state run observation home situated in Madiwala after assaulting the security guards on Friday morning.
The security guard, Ramesh, sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The five juveniles were involved in robbery, theft and dacoity cases.
The police said that a special team has been formed to trace them and their family members have been informed. The police are currently keeping an eye on their family, friends and relatives. According to the police, on Friday morning around 9 am they were let out to have breakfast with three security guards in charge. Two of them were inside the office and the third one had gone to fetch water cans. The five juveniles realised that Ramesh was standing alone near the gate and attacked him with a cane and got the keys of the main gate.
On hearing the commotion, the other two security guards rushed to the spot, but the juveniles overpowered them and escaped.
The Madiwala police have registered a case.
