Kurnool: As a gesture for the setting up of the Hijra Welfare Board, the LGBT community are planning to build a temple for Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
P. Vijayakumar, founder of the Samatha Hijra Hakkula Aikya Porata Vedika, said that a silver statue, weighing five kg, would be installed in the temple. He said that he is investing Rs 10 lakh from his own savings for constructing the temple. Thanking Mr Naidu, he said if need be, he will sell an acre of land at his native village Pedda Kottala Palle near Nandyal and raise more money.
