Hyderabad: Income-tax officials conducted searches on two prominent construction companies in the city on Wednesday.
A team of six I-T officials held searches at Pavani Constructions at Madhapur based on credible information about a large number of money transactions, while another team checked out the offices of Western Constructions in Kondapur.
An official from I-T department said the searches were going on at the offices.
“These are not raids and just surveys. We have seized a few documents relating to money transactions and will verify them. We will conduct raids if we find violations or illegal transactions. Surveys are routine processes taken up if there is a doubt,” the official said.
