As per the TTD norms vehicles are not allowed to travel on the two Ghat roads between midnight from 12 to 3 am for security reasons.

Nellore: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is in a fix over allowing Reliance Industries Chief Mukesh Ambani travel on the Ghat Road to Tirumala around 1 am on Friday. As per the TTD norms vehicles are not allowed to travel on the two Ghat roads between midnight from 12 to 3 am for security reasons. However, three vehicles of Mr Ambani were permitted to go on the second ghat road around 1 am from the toll gate in Alipiri.

Assistant Vigilance and Security Officer Mr Nandeeswar Rao justified allowing the vehicles while referring to standing orders to allow any vehicle even after midnight if the pilgrims are possessing Abhishekam or Suprabhata seva tickets since they have to report at the Vaikuntam queue complex by 2.30 am.

He said there were several such instances in the past. Earlier, Mukhesh Ambani along with his family members including his son Anant Ambani worshipped at the holy shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala on Friday morning.

TTD officials received Mr Ambani and he took part in the Abhisheka seva. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams EO Dr D. Sambasiva Rao was also present during the visit. Meanwhile Union Minister Sadananda Gowda also had the darshan of the Lord during the VIP break darshan. The Executive Officer offered him prasadams after the darshan.
