Thiruvananthapuram: Police recovers Rakhi Mol’s mobile phone parts
Thiruvananthapuram: The police on Friday recovered parts of the mobile phone used by Rakhi Mol who was murdered by her lover Akhil, his brother Rahul and friend Adarsh at Amboori last month.
The parts of the mobile phone were recovered from Vazhichal. It was during the search at Amboori and at the adjourning areas by bringing, Akhil, the first accused, his brother Rahul and friend Adarsh that the mobile phone parts were recovered. The mobile phone was discarded after removing the sim card.
Though the police sought the three accused for ten days in custody the Neyyatinkara Judicial First Class Court granted them only six day’s custody.
The police could not yet recover the dress of Rakhi and her hand bag. The search for the same would continue. There are also chances for two of the accused to be taken to Palakkad and Thrissur as Akhil and Rahul had gone on hiding in these places after the murder. The police was also planning to get more evidence by questioning the accused together. The role of other members of the family of the accused in the crime is also being investigated.
Police had on Thursday recovered the piece of coir used to strangulate Rakhi Mol and the hoe, pickaxe and iron road which was used for burying the body of Rakhi in the pit from the plot owned by Akhil in Amboori.
