Stop illegal land-grab, says Majlis Bachao Tehreek

A government official holding a senior position is taking up construction on 900 square yards of land.

Hyderabad: Majlis Bachao Tehreek spokesperson Amjedullah Khan on Wednesday demanded that Minister of Information Technology, K.T Rama Rao, visit the Masjid-e- Alamgir at Madhapur. He wanted the Minister to personally inspect the property that has been grabbed by influential persons.

“A government official holding a senior position is taking up construction on 900 square yards of land. Despite lodging a complaint with the police, the work has not stopped yet,” Mr. Khan said.

He demanded the State government to save the land measuring around 3 acres immediately.

When contacted, Wakf Board Chairman, Mr Mohammed Saleem, said that they are moving court regarding the construction and will initiate legal action. “At any cost we will save the land. It is prime property and will benefit the board immensely,” he stated.
