Hyderabad: After it missed several deadlines, the 12-km Miyapur-SR Nagar and the 8-km Nagole-Mettuguda Metro Rail stretches are likely to become operational in November this year. The TRS government is planning to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the 20-km Metro Rail network.

Hyderabad is also hosting the Global Investors’ Summit in November, which will also be attended by the Prime Minister.

A senior official in the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department said, “Hyderabad Metro Rail authorities have already started a beautification project at these stretches. Earlier, the government had planned to inaugurate the 50-km stretch. However, this was converted into two phases.”
