Sources in the Coonoor suburb limits said that in recent times, some private plantations in the nearby area as well as a couple of civic bodies in the village limits have taken to the practice of dumping waste, including plastic, inside the woods either in the early morning or in the late evening.
Green activists feel that these wastes will not only vitiate the jungle environs but over time, will play spoilsport with the health of the forests and the free ranging wild animals in these jungles.
