Senkumar is a Congressman: P Jayarajan
Kozikhode: CPM Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan came out strongly against former DGP TP Senkumar who alleged that Mr Jayarajan might have intervened to ensure his removal from the post of DGP earlier. Senkumar was a Congressman with the mission of pushing the Congress agenda during UDF rule, Jayarajan said in an FB post on Sunday.
The reaction is a sequel to allegations raised by Senkumar in a programme on a private news channel the other day, where he said though he had a good relationship with chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, but a small section in the CPM had lobbied against him. He also cited the foolproof investigation in the TP Chandrasekharan murder as another reason for the ire of a few CPM leaders.
“I have no personal vengeance against Senkumar. But it seems he had nurtured some vengeance against me”, P Jayarajan said, adding that they had not even talked to each other on any occasion.
“Mr Senkumar, submitted a fake report to the government and had deliberately tried to remove me from the Prison Advisory Board at Kannur”, Mr Jayarajan alleged.
Senkumar, during his term as DGP, had also unnecessarily intervened in many cases acting against the interests of the party including in the TP Chandrasekharan murder, he added. ‘
“It is natural that an official like Senkumar who had an illegal and deplorable track record, raised such allegations against me after his exit from the post of the DGP”, he said.
Jayarajan also claimed that there would be more revelations like the recent one in the Fazal murder in Kannur, exonerating the party and vindicating the party stand in many cases.
