Coimbatore: Union minister Suresh Prabhu on Sunday assured that the overnight train, UDAY (Utkrisht Double Decker AC Yatri) from Coimbatore to Bengaluru would be launched by September end.
Despite announcing the UDAYtrain more than a year ago, the launch was delayed due to designing issue, which has now been sorted out, he said.
The Union Railway Minister was speaking after dedicating various amenities in the city junction. Railways will also look for the possibility of running an overnight train between these stations till UDAY is launched, by using other racks, he added.
