Union Law Minister D V Sadananda Gowda helps road accident victim
BENGALURU: Only days after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's convoy held up an ambulance, ignoring the pleas of a son frantic with worry, which led to the death of his mother, Union Law Minister and BJP leader D.V. Sadananda Gowda showed everyone how power hasn't seen him lose the common touch.
After a rider was knocked down by a speeding car in the city on Saturday, Mr Gowda who spotted the victim lying on the road, untended and in pain, immediately stopped his car and stepped out to help the road accident victim. As he told reporters later, he, together with his gunman Someshekhar and his driver Radhakrishna, the former CM administered first aid. His driver took the victim to hospital.
The Union Law Minister was on his way to a party meeting in front of MS Ramaiah Hospital on Saturday around 9.30 am when the accident happened.
“When we checked we found, he had a minor injury on his leg. Though, many passersby stopped to have a look, no one helped. I got delayed for meeting but felt good that I did my best. People should not be scared to help," he said.
