48 more people banished from Muzaffarnagar under Goondas Act
They have been externed for different periods ranging from 3-4months for indulging in anti-social activities.
Muzaffarnagar: As many as 48 more people have been banished from the sensitive Muzaffarnagar district under the Goondas Act to maintain peace, an official said on Sunday.
Police has identified 48 more people for preventive action under the Goondas Act in the district.
Those booked under the Act belong to Bhopa Kakroli, Purkazi and Midanpur police station areas in the district, according to district magistrate D K Singh.
They have been externed from the district for different periods ranging from three to four months for allegedly indulging in anti-social activities, Singh said.
Last week, 36 people were externed from the district under the Act for allegedly indulging in anti-social activities.
