Odisha train mishap: Siddaramaiah appoints team to coordinate rescue of Kannadigas

Mangaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has appointed a team led by Labor Minister Santosh Lad to coordinate with the rescue operations at the Balasore train accident. The team will extend necessary assistance to the Karnataka people who were injured in the accident.

Siddaramaiah sought a detailed report from the Chief Secretary and held discussions with the officials, concerned. The Chief Minister directed the officials to visit the accident site and take necessary measures to ensure the safety of Kannadigas, along with providing comprehensive assistance as required.

Minister Santosh Lad, Disaster Management Commissioner Manoj Rajan and other officials have already left for Balasore.
