Hyderabad: The home department awarded gallantry medals to police personnel to mark the State Formation Day on Sunday.
The medals were awarded to personnel with clean records who have maintained a high reputation for integrity and professional competence and exhibited boldness, enterprise and initiative in facing dangerous situations and combating crimes.
The top award, Mukhyamantri Sarvonnatta Police Pathakam was awarded to three officers: M. Ramana Kumar, additional superintendent of police, ACB; M. Gangadhar, Cyberabad inspector; and M. Sridhar Reddy, Rachakonda IT cell inspector. The medal carries a Rs 5 lakh cash prize.
The Mahonnatha Seva Pathakam was awarded to P. Radha Kishan Rao, Taskforce DCP and G. Madhusudhan, assistant sub inspector, Charminar. The medallists are eligible for a monthly recurring allowance of Rs 125 and a one-time cash award of Rs 6,000.
The Uttam Seva Pathakam was awarded to Mantri Sudarshan, ACP, East Zone; Y. Ranga Reddy, HC, City Security Wing; M. Varada Raju, reserve sub inspector CAR HQ; A. Tony Martyn, HC, North Zone Task Force; Darla Atchaiah, HC, CAR HQ, M.V. Narasimha Reddy, HC, CSW; and C. Butchi Reddy, HC. Recipients are eligible for a monthly recurring allowance of `100 and a one-time cash award of `5,000. The Seva Pathakam was awarded to K.C.S. Raghuvir, Addl.DCP, CCS; G.
